Well it’s been a very long and slow feeling 3 months is lockdown and while we have been keeping busy photographing our commercial work, we’ve missed real people so much. That really made this photoshoot even more enjoyable than they usually are.
I arranged to meet Samantha and Ben in the centre of the New Forest at Bolderwood deer sanctuary late on a Monday evening for their engagement photoshoot hoping we’d get two things, number 1, beautiful sunset and number two, a nice quiet evening in the forest to make some photos. Lady luck was really on our side on this night as we got both.
The New Forest has always been one of my favorite locations for a photoshoot as it just has so much versatility in the backdrops it has to offer. I’d planned to shot the main part of the engagement photoshoot at Boulderwood Dear Sanctuary and on my way there had spotted an amazing location on top of the moorland area that was full of horses, ponies, newborn foals (and even a few highland cattle) that I know would make the perfect sunset location to capture those last few rays of light.
To add a little bit more excitement to the photoshoot for me, Samantha had mentioned taking a few photos of them in their Covid masks as a little memory of this crazy period in all of our lives. I jumped at this chance and the photos are just amazing!!!
Check out what I think was just a super, fab, glorious engagement photoshoot and thank you to these guys for making my comeback photo to such a joy!! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding.
